The new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake will start at £49,360, for the CLS 250 CDI BlueEfficiency, rising to £83,030 for the range-topping CLS 63 AMG.
Merc’s new model, which the company predicts will create a new sector by combining five seats and a large load space with sleek styling, is available to order from next month. First deliveries are due in November.
Both the CLS Shooting Brake and CLS AMG Sport Shooting Brake model lines include powered tailgate, split/fold rear seats and self-levelling rear air suspension. Storage space measures up to 1550 litres.
The standard equipment list is extensive, with visible exhaust pipes, DAB, leather upholstery, Bi-Xenon headlights and 18in alloy wheels all standard.
Step up to the AMG Sport offers, and you get full LED headlights with Intelligent Light System, AMG bodystyling and sports suspension and brakes.
Optional extras include privacy glass (£365), aluminium rails (£870) and a ‘designo’ cherry wood load compartment with black inlays (£4030).
