Audi has released first images of its soft top version of the RS5. Featuring the same engine line-up and technology features as the saloon, the cabrio gets a folding fabric roof which will pack away in 15 seconds up to speeds of 31mph.
Storage is reduced, however, with the folded roof stealing 60-litres from the bootspace, which is reduced to 380-litres.
The cabrio, however, is powered by the same normally-aspirated 444bhp 4.2-litre V8 lifted from the saloon. That power is delivered to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
And it’s quick: 62mph comes up from standstill in 4.9secs — 0.4sec down on its hard-top sister — and carries on to a max of 155mph.
When the car arrives in dealerships next Spring, expect it the new RS5 Cabriolet to nudge over the £70k mark.
