Hyundai has confirmed it will launch a sub-£20k version of its Veloster Turbo. The new model will undercut the Turbo SE, which goes on sale at the end of this month, by around £2000.
Set to be badged simply as the Veloster Turbo, the new car, which will follow in a few months, will be mechanically identical to the Turbo SE. It will though drop a number of that model’s equipment.
Though final details have yet to be confirmed, it’s expected the leather trim and touchscreen navigation from the Turbo SE will be removed.
Cleverly though, the cheaper version will still retain the SE model’s styling pack, including Turbo-specific 18in alloy wheels and more aggressive bumpers and side skirts.
