Michelin celebrates first motorbike radial

It’s 25 years since Michelin launched the first radial motorcycle road tyre. And to mark the anniversary, the iconic French tyre manufacturer will attend the regular monthly ‘Streetfighter Night’ at the Ace Café in London, on Friday (Sept 7).

To add further significance to the occasion, former 250cc and 500cc world champion, Freddie Spencer, will also attend the event.

The American will arrive at the Café at around 6-6.30pm on a Virgin Limobike painted in Michelin Pilot Road 3 colours.

The bike’s new livery marks the company’s switch to the ground-breaking Michelin sport touring tyres, which are now fitted to its entire fleet of Yamaha FJR1300s.

Michelin will also have its specially-equipped ‘Fill Up With Air’ van at the event offering riders expert advice. They will also get the opportunity to have their tyres and tyre pressures checked by Michelin staff.

Blackcircles.com stocks a comprehensive range of Michelin tyres, in addition to those from all the other leading tyre manufacturers, all at the most competitive prices. Plus we can arrange for you to have your car’s new tyres fitted at a time and location best-suited to you.
