Peugeot’s limited edition 208GTI has sold out its UK allocation. Out of a total production of just 54 cars, 29 will now have UK owners.
The limited edition 208GTI, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show last month, will be delivered to customers in late March 2013, the same date as the standard car.
While the ‘standard’ 208GTI is expected to cost around £19,000, the limited edition version costs was priced from £20,495.
Oh, and if you’re wondering why the UK received 29 models of the new car, the figure represents one for each year since the original 205 GTi launched in 1984.
The limited edition model benefits from a higher specification, rather than any more power or chassis upgrades over the standard 208 GTI.
All are individually numbered, and come with with sat-nav and DAB digital radio, a Peugeot first. They also get 17in Carbon Onyx Black alloy wheels and have a Union Jack painted on the lower grille.
