Vredestein is to supply what it calls, the “ultimate winter tyre package” to German tuning specialist Gemballa. The new agreement ensures Vredestein supplies tyres which accommodate the levels of performance Gemballa vehicles are known for.
The first tyre to be provided to Gemballa is the Wintrac Nextreme SUV, a tyre Vredestein says can “perform as a winter tyre on snow and ice, handles well on dry roads and is able to cope with speeds of up to 300km/h.”
Following extensive testing by Gemballa CEO Andreas Schwarz, the Vredestein Wintrac has been approved for the tuning company’s most powerful SUVs: the Aero 1, 2 and Tornado.
All three vehicles are based on the Porsche Cayenne 958 but are extensively modified and feature carbon fibre panels, tuned engines and handling.
Vredestein is confident the Wintrac Nextreme SUV will enable these powerful vehicles to be driven safely even in winter conditions.
