Honda recalls 50,000 CR-Vs

Honda has been forced to recall 50,000 of its Swindon-built CR-Vs after an electric window fault on the driver’s door was discovered.

The faulty seal on the master switch may cause liquids to seep inside causing it to overheat and potentially catch fire. So far one owner in the UK has been affected, saying they could smell burning.

The recall affects the second generation CR-a built between 2002 and 2006.

Owners of the affected cars are being contacted directly and instructed to take their CR-V in for a check up at their local dealership.
