Vühl, the all-new niche company, has released a new teaser image of its ’05’ supercar ahead of its launch at next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Pronounced “vool”,and standing for “Vehicles of Ultra-lightweight and High-performance”, the Vühl is a road-legal lightweight supercar, “endowed with exhilarating performance”.
The car, which will sit on Michelin rubber, has a truly international DNA. The 05’s body fabrication has been completed in Canada,; Mexico City is home to the car’s chassis production and final assembly; while the UK handles calibration and tuning.
A variety of development partners and suppliers — including Magna Steyr, Multimatic and Ford — are also involved.
Vühl was set up by brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria and have received financial backing from blue-chip private investors and the Mexican government. The 05’s styling was carried out by Echeverria’s own design agency, Exte.
“We intend Vühl products to be renowned for their effective simplicity and aesthetics guided by a purity of function,” Iker said.
“The 05 and its successors will also be notable for uncompromising build quality, rigorous attention to detail and a driving experience par excellence.”
