This month online tyre retailer Blackcircles.com pledged £141,000 to Scotland’s National Children’s Charity, Children 1st – as part of our ongoing support for their vital work.
Children 1st is Scotland’s National Children’s Charity. Dedicated to helping families put children first.
They work with communities and families, providing important advice and support. Their most important work includes helping those who have experienced and survived abuse, neglect, and other traumatic events.
Children 1st works in key areas:
Donation To Children 1st
When recently talking of the donation, Michael Welch, founder of Blackcircles.com said:
“All families need a helping hand from time to time. The Blackcircles team are only too happy that children and families most in need of extra support will benefit from our donation. I’ve been blown away to see at first-hand how Children 1st helps families, often in desperate circumstances, to transform their children’s lives.”
Michael Welch’s involvement with the charity stretches back five years, helping them to establish an annual fundraising event called Dragons’ Glen
This unique fundraising challenge sees groups of 5-10 people attempt to transform £500 into £5K. Since the challenge was first launched, it has helped the charity to raise an amazing £360,000. All of which goes towards Children 1st’s work in local communities throughout Scotland.
Barbara Kidd, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Children 1st, said:
“Blackcircles’ generous donations of funds, skills and time have made an incredible difference to many children’s lives across Scotland over the past five years. It has been fantastic to work with them and we are very grateful for all their support.”
