Falken’s latest addition to its summer tyre range the Ziex ZE310 Ecorun promises excellent grip and traction on both wet and dry road surfaces, as well as offering low wear performance.

Successor to the Ziex ZE914 Ecorun, the new Ziex ZE310 Ecorun is said to have utilised ACP (Adaptive Constant Pressure) technology to improve directional stability and tyre life. ACP technology uses a new simulation process to ensure that the tread profile has evenly distributed pressure in the contact patch.

Falken have said that by using Advanced 4D Nano Design Technology, their engineering team have produced a compound offering improved running characteristics, as well as maximum efficiency and mileage. Falken claim that this development has increased the wear life of the Ziex ZE310 Ecorun by 30% in comparison to the predecessor ZE914 Ecorun.

Andreas Giese, senior manager of product planning at Falken Tyre Europe describes the Ziex ZE310 Ecorun as being “designed for drivers with a sporty style who nevertheless appreciate comfort.”

Available in 40 sizes to fit wheels ranging between 14” and 18” and with speed ratings in H, V and W the Ziex ZE310 Ecorun  range will be available from Spring 2018 – with a further 58 sizes to follow during the year. Tyre widths up to 195mm will feature a three-groove tread design, whereas tyres widths over 205mm will feature a four-groove design, which Falken say will improve water evacuation and aquaplaning resistance.
